Billionaire Chandru L Raheja promoted K Raheja Corporation, a Mumbai based real estate firm that runs retail chains and shopping centres such as Shoppers Stop Ltd, Inorbit and Mindspace, has signed a joint development deal to develop Modern Mill, a privately held defunct textile mill property in South Mumbai.
Founded by the Sirur family in 1933, as Modern Mills Ltd., in 1979, the reigns were handed over to the Jatias.
It’s located near the Mahalaxmi Race Course and owned by the Jatias of real estate to textiles firm Modern India Ltd.
The upscale 40 storey “Belvedere Court” residential tower was built at the location just adjacent to the upcoming Modern Mills plot.
K Raheja Corp. has delivered Raheja Vivarea, a 14 acre super luxury residential project in Mahalaxmi which is right opposite to the upcoming Modern Mills compound. Also, the group has delivered Raheja Artesia at Worli, a 5.2 acres uber luxury residential complex in Worli where about 150 top notch families will be residing soon.
